Get Me Downunder

The Adventure Starts Here

We are a family of 5 (3 children 14 and under) we have been planning to move out to Perth suburbs in next 2 years.

My wife had cancer in 2000 and then in 2004 resulting in her now only having 1 lung and she has a weaker leg due to an ankle fusion. She is now 8 years clear and according to her consultant it is highly unlikely that ( touch wood) it will return. Any ideas anyone if her having one lung will result in us not passing our medicals? Or if there is a way she could speak to a panel expert before we pay out for agents etc? Thanks for any advice you can give

Hi Marc,

You might want your wife to just pay for a medical and seek the doctor's opinion.  You would probably have to pay a bond to offset any medical costs she could potentially need before your PR kicks in.
