Hi Adele, now you know full well that the Aussies will view you with suspicion! Anyone who doesn't eat meat or seafood, like sport, smoke cigarettes and drink large amounts of alcohol is just weird! lol

Oh my, this is turning into a heated debate! I read Michael's original post and couldn't agree more. So many people have made the move to Australia in the belief that the sun is always shining, cost of living is cheaper and life is one long beach pa…

Thanks very much Nancy and Michael. Info you provided is very much appreciated. I have now added Woy Woy and Wingham to my "must see" places for my next visit to Sydney. Maybe I can time it to be there for the "Backwards Parade"! I didn't realise th…

Hi Adele, thought I would write something slightly more sensible now! We haven't been through Woy Woy but checked out neighbouring areas. We have been to Avoca Beach, Terrigal and The Entrance. These areas are very beautiful, having the lakes and th…

Spike Milligans mother was from Woy Woy, he always joked that the place was so small the local hooker was a virgin! :-)

Hi Adele, I used to live in Sydney, and had a dear friend in Woy Woy. It is spectacular. There are many beaches surrounding Woy Woy -- Ocean Beach, Avoca, Avalon and others, it is the last train stop before the train goes over the water north to Go…

Really enjoyed it, and we've been given a glimmer of hope re our dream of making the move ourselves.

Hi Adele, I am currently having my job assessed and I am just about to start to look for employer sponsorship in either SA or QLD (by preference). I need to research job opportunities, but also to get a better feel for housing and the states themselves. What's your situation?
