Hi Helena - You seem to be in a similar situation and you've been waiting longer too. I just read somewhere that a migration agent told a client for £150 she could change to a state sponsored visa.... Have you heard about that? Does anyone else know…

Hi Ian and Leeanna - your post was very interesting. We are in the same position as you although we didn't put our application in until March 09. We have not heard from The Emigration Group...... I'm hoping we can do the same as you. Who did your ap…

Hi everyone. It is frustrating that the downd=turn has moved the goalposts and the rules can change overnight. There are many people who have migrated adn can't find work and that's not a position you want to be in either. Kim I know it is tempting…

Hi Jennifer, I've just read your message - not sure how I missed it.... We are worrying about the other applications jumping the queue too. Our agent is not really communicating with us so we are a bit lost. We are also applying for a 176 skilled sp…

Hi kim - im sorry to hear your situation, it sounds worse than ours - for us it is a real inconvenience and financially has been draining but when i read situations like yourselves, it puts things into prospective. We were told originally that brick…

lack of communication over application times

Up to now I have been singing the praises of our agent....... In a bit of a panic we e-mail the agent to double check where she thought our application should be. On line application done end of March 2009. I know, we've only been waiting 3 months but believe me it feels like forever! So, a couple of very brief e=mails later( containing no solid information) we find out that a letter is on the way to us.... This sounds a bit worrying, not a mention in the e-mail of what the letter will contain..… Continue

Hi Kim, thanks for replying! things are moving slowly at the moment, lots of decisions to make...which agent to use, where to go (it's so hard to pick a place!) etc. but have just bought our tickets to 'down under live' show at london in march. hoping to get lots of ideas from that really.
how long since you started the process? do you know how long these things take! thanks for your tip about the birth certs - luckily i have the 'long' versions anyway!
lovely to hear from you

Hi Kim and James, thanks for replying to my blog, it's great to hear from other people in the same situation! It's hard deciding on where to live. etc. have you got any tips? How did you make your mind up?! I must admit, once I've started thinking of moving to oz, it seems to be taking over my life! does everyone feel the same? How old are your kids? We haven't employed an agent yet, just starting to look for one at the moment.

Would love to hear back from you,
Sal x
