Get Me Downunder

The Adventure Starts Here

my husband, myself & my 5 month old are off too Sydney on 8th September, for a year - very exciting!! But so much to do! Although it's against my husband's nature I would have 'winged it' & just packed my bags & gone in September, but with a little baby I have to be a bit more organised about the whole thing, hence so much to do!!

My first thing I am going to do this week is investigate short term rented accomodation, however it seems to be so much more expensive than I imagined, but getting a 6-month let from oversees is probably a bit difficult & better off doing when we get there & have done a proper explore of areas we would like to live in. Has anyone had any cheap short-term rented accomodation in Sydney?

The next thing on the list is getting family insurance for a year in Oz, I've only found which comes up as £1000 for the year - ouch! Any ideas of possible insurance providers/ policies?

I may sound tight, but money is just going to fly out of our pockets as soon as we get there!!!

Anyone else doing something similar?
