Get Me Downunder

The Adventure Starts Here

When you arrive in Australia you arrive with no credit rating. Following the credit crisis it can take up to six months to be eligible to apply for a mortgage (depending on the organisation's lending criteria).

Breez Finance offers mortgages to newly arrived migrants providing you meet their lending criteria. Breez also have a newsletter for newly arrived migrants offering advice on how to establish your credit rating in Australia.

The Breez website is www.breez.net.au . If you would like to find out more about mortgages through Breez Finance - contact frances@breez.net.au

Hi, would you mind giving a brief overview of how the mortgage system works in Australia.

ie, how much would a couple with combined earning's of say $140,000 per annum, and a deposit of say $40,000 expect to be able to borrow? and on what basis is it worked out?

Also is the first time buyer grant available to migrants or just Australian nationals?

Thanks

Andy
