Criminal Convictions

Posted on December 18, 2008 at 9:32 2 Comments

Quite often, those with criminal convictions think that this prevents the opportunity of migrating to Australia.

Well this is not true!

If you have a conviction(s) this alone will not prevent you from obtaining a PR or any other visa.

In such cases, you have to declare them as Police checks reveal all any how, and present DIAC with a legal submission.

Hope this helps.

Hi Everyone,
I am a Registered Migration Agent based in the UK. I belong to other forums and have joined this one today. I do not mind offering advice here and there, as I do on the other forums. I wish you all well in your venture of securing that new life downunder...a road I have personal experience of...having been a migrant myself!

Hi James unfortunately we've researched the student route and it's not for us so after looking into all options sponsorship is the way to go for us. Do you have any helpful advice to give us

Hi Jim, can I ask who you deal with for currency? We have an innovative partnership programme in conjunction with (our parent company) - let me know if you would like to discuss.
