The Tasmanian devil is becoming rarer and rarer in Australia thanks to a very contagious and ultimately fatal facial cancer that has wiped out much of the poulation in the wild.
Numbers of the fierce, back furred creatures have declined by 70% since devil facial tumour disease was first reported in 1996.
Its feared that it may become extinct within ten years.

Some good news for a change...From July 2009, travellers visiting New Zealand under the popular working holiday scheme will be allowed to study on more than one course throughout the duration of their stay in the country.
