Get Me Downunder

The Adventure Starts Here

Anyone have any idea how long Case Officers take once they have received police checks and medicals ? Checked our visa application on line with imm.gov but the status hasnt changed since 2008, says still awaiting all documentation, even though our agent sent it about 2 weeks ago? Will the case officer notify our agent via email, writing or telephone ? Could we still be looking at next year before we have any notification I wonder. We were given 70 days at end of September 2010 in which to have the checks and medicals carried out so optimistic that things may get moving this side of Christmas....I am aware that they shut down for about 3 weeks over Christmas period so would mean more delays if not finalised this side of Christmas ! Anyone in the know !! ??

Hi Philip

I havent checked the online status however it said Application being processed for 2 years !! then it went to Awaiting all documentation recently...we have now, thankfully been given our visa...the process from them receiving our police checks to visa allocation was 6 days ...hope that helped somewhat.

Mark and Jennifer, How long did it take to go from Application being processed further to Awaiting all documentation? Thanks.

I was given 28 days from my case officer for medicals and police checks and got confirmation of my visa about a week after they got my medical results, hang in there it can't be far off.
