Get Me Downunder

The Adventure Starts Here

My question is to tradesmen or women moving or have moved down under, is it worth shipping my kit of 110v power tools down under where i know they use 220v on site? I'm hoping that i can bring my transformer and that i'l be able to work my kit off of that, but is this acceptable on Australian building sites? I'm a carpenter and carry a lot of equipment which iv collected over the years and paid a lot of money for and it would be a pity to sell all up and start again, any help would be appreciated.

im also very fond with my tools as i have a universal woodworking machine, a de walt radial arm saw  for many years and other various power and hand tools and wouldnt like the idea to change them or part with them as they are somehow a part of me.
