Get Me Downunder

The Adventure Starts Here

How excited are we !!! We have, after almost 3 years of planning, skills assessment, 2 sets of medicals and police checks, 2 years and 5 months from submitted our application, we have now had our 176 visa approved. We have to travel out by October 2011.

Now the hard work begins....where to start ...house on the market from Friday and fingers crossed it will sell !!

Just so pleased to have the visa granted ..had begun to lose hope !!!

Thank you everyone...still cannot beleive it !!! In our area (South WAles) it only took 2 weeks for us to book our medicals, it had all changed since the first medicals we had in 2008. Spire Hospital (formerly BUPA) carry out both the medicals and x-rays now and it was all very speedy.
We are heading off to Brisbane...we have friends who live in Fernvale which apparently is a one horse town near Ipswich, near Brisbane, it sounds and looks wonderful. We like the sound of Noosa and surrounding areas so plan to have a look around over the months and see where the jobs are and what is suitable for us...its all very exciting !!

Well done you Salters', I bet it feels wonderful after all that waitin'.
We are just waitin' for our medicals and ours should be going in before christmas (hopefully).
Any idea how long it takes for us to go for our medicals when they ask for them?...oh and where are you going to?...we are going to Fremantle (Perth). Best of luck with the move. x

Congratulations! Here's hoping you get a quick sale on your house. Well done Jennifer, and I'm sure it's been well worth all of the hard work. Good Luck with your move Down Under.
